Shahrizoda Workshop is a small-group program I hosted in collaboration with FAR–NEAR, interrogating the creative landscape of Central Asian digital media. Centering on the early 2000s girl group Shahrizoda, whose music and imagery shaped a generation of regional aesthetics and digital imagination, the session created space to reflect on how popular culture informs digital practices today.

I prepared research decks, designed the poster, facilitated discussion, and developed surveys to capture participant perspectives. By curating this conversation, I wanted to interrogate the connection between Central Asian and new media; how cultural memory can guide narratives in the present. The workshop ran both in-person and online, extending its reach across geographies while keeping the dialogue intimate and community-driven.
